Alain Chevalier who participed at the 34th World Congress of the International Theatre Institute (ITI-UNESCO), where he met Akzent’s responsibles, asks us to publish the following advertisement:

AKT-ZENT, the ITI research centre for theatre training methods announced the first international M.A. Teaching Professional Theatre Practice to be held at Kazan Federal University, Russia and European and Asian Universities 2015 – 2017 under the artistic direction of Prof. Dr. Jurij Alschitz.

The MA in Teaching Professional Theatre Practice is a response to a recognized need across all fields of professional theatre for postgraduate study that focuses on the methodological and pedagogical training of theatre teachers to teach acting and directing in academies and universities.

AKT-ZENT invites all Higher Education Institutions to consider co-operation by sending a young acting/directing teacher to participate as investment into the own future. The students do not only receive an intercultural training with new methodologies for theatre training, but will also develop an international unique network of teachers.

The possibility to apply is open from now on – the first European selection seminar will be held in Berlin 8 – 10 January 2015
